wah, it's been a looong time since i last blogged. erm here's a super lame excuse for doing so: i just don't have the right mood. or in other words, i'm darn lazy. i haf another reason, which sounds more erm...reasonable? i was in brunei!
and darn, it was a great place.Royalty is clearly depicted in the gorgeous mosques(cos they boast very beautiful architecture) and the various Sultan's palaces (yes various as in several) that could have easily dwarfed our istana (and suntec city and esplanade).hehe.
and its amusement park is simply great.they call it Jerudong Park..finally found the epitome of an entertainment place that promises endless fun. maybe only disneyland can be better, but with its wealth of games/'stations', I think i would rather go there than HK or Japan. You can find anything there..u name it, giant roller-coasters(the super-giant one had to be closed down cos a S'porean guy died there cos of heartattack recently -_-"), Go-Karts, Bumper Cars, Bungee, Logs falling down high water slides etc.
and not forgetting playing ps2 with my cousins 24/7. we managed to sweep through many games, and watched several hit movies through midnight. which made me think life suddenly became so much better, though for a few days to a week. well, i was wrong-again....
well,the only reason we were stuck at home watching movies is erm...the parents. our parents. we thought we could get away with a midnight movies at the cinema with the presence (and unanimous mandate) of our Bruneian cousins, but it was not to be. as expected. It's a miracle though that we got to play at the amusement park till 2 AM. yes 2AM! could have completed the rout with a Go-Kart race....cos the park closes at 3AM (whatt!!!)....and it was not to be again. luck wasn't simply on our side.
so there goes our dream of a beautiful (and temporary) life in Brunei. Cousins and Me, hopeful and united for a La Vita E Bella, but when the parents unite, well...u know what will happen.
To remember the good times we had in brunei, i thought this song would sum it all up. heard it in 50 FIRST DATES, a truly comical movie. song's pretty catchy with a soothing Hawaiian melody, so enjoy ;)
and im looking forward to Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire, War of the Worlds (starring TOm cruise) and the Da Vinci Code (starring tom hanks)
